Be recognised as a safe and competent point of care ultrasound user.
Achieve the ‘Certificate of Competence’ — a prestigious credential awarded by NUS and AIU Singapore.
The point of care ultrasound credential requirements are as follows:
1.
Attend Basic Course
Learn how to acquire a complete set of diagnostic quality views to answer clinical questions. Interpret images to identify and quantify pathology.
2.
Attend Advanced Course
Integrate acquisition and interpretation skills within the clinical context to guide patient management. Complete practical scanning assessment.
3.
Complete Logbook
Students must submit a defined number of cases. Submitting images encourages deliberate scanning practice and helps to illustrate a progression of learning in the clinical setting. Your dedicated Tutor will provide personalised feedback — and ultimately evaluate competence.
